Convocation Hall was modelled on the Sorbonne theatre in Paris and has one of the most unmistakeable profiles of any U of T building
with its pillared rotunda and broad dome.
The building, which cost $100,000 by the time it was completed in 1906.
1731 seats, domed hall it is used as a lecture hall, for concerts, guest lectures, readings, ceremonies and rallies.
Seats are arranged in a semi-circle (the hall is round, after all) on three levels
